The Ukrainian defense forces continue their operations aimed at the Russian-occupied Zmiinyi Island in the Black Sea.
The relevant statement was made by the Operational Command “South”.
The Ukrainian servicemen hit enemy positions on the temporarily captured Ukrainian island once again.
The Operational Command “South” reported that they recorded over 10 hits at the island targets.
The servicemen released a video of the weapons use on the island:
According to the spokeswoman of the Operational Command, they confirmed the destruction of another Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system. More results of the strike are to be confirmed.
The video above shows strikes on Zmiinyi Island. The footage captured the moments of explosions and equipment catching fire. The remaining buildings on the island were likely on fire too.
A few days ago, the Ukrainian Defense Forces confirmed that their work on destroying enemy personnel and equipment on Zmiinyi Island continues.
The Ukrainian servicemen are attacking enemy military facilities located on the island and weapon systems belonging to the Russian invaders.
Information about the destruction of enemy forces on Zmiinyi Island was released on June 21. The Operational Command “South” noted that the Ukrainian troops used the combined forces and equipment, and the Russians suffered significant losses. They also stressed that the operation is still ongoing and needs informational silence before it is accomplished.
On June 22, a satellite image of the island was released, confirming the strikes on Zmiinyi Island. In particular, Operational Command “South” reported that the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft artillery system, radar station, and several vehicles were hit.
The day before, Russian media reported that the drilling rig of the so-called Chornomornaftogaz had been shelled again in the Black Sea.
