The defense forces of Ukraine continue fire control over the highways of the occupied Kherson Region.

First of all, this regards to the Antonivsky bridge and the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant bridge.

Nataliya Humenyuk, a spokesperson for the press center of the Southern Defense Forces, reported on the strikes on these objects during an online briefing at the Ukraine Media Center.

“Yesterday, another attack was made in the Kakhovka direction along the Kakhovka bridge. Of course, this is a complex hydrotechnical structure, the artillery work there is filigree and careful, aimed precisely at destroying the enemyʼs plans to use this object for themselves… The Antonivsky bridge is one of the transport routes that the Russians are trying to resuscitate, but they understand that such a structure cannot be patched up with a bucket of concrete, and this requires quite significant repairs and technological processes. That is why we keep under control and remind of our remote presence,” Humenyuk said.

The attention of the Armed Forces is focused on these objects because the enemy can use them for movement.

As previously reported, information about repeated explosions heard near the Antonivsky bridge in Kherson was released on the afternoon of August 22.

The occupation authorities claim that the anti-aircraft defense system went off 10 times.

Local residents released photos and videos featuring the bridge. One of the photos shows a large-scale fire.

Previously, the invaders admitted that the Antonivskyi Road Bridge across the Dnipro River in Kherson was seriously damaged after night shelling. The bridge has strategic importance for the Russian army. It is one of the main supply bridges used by invasion groups in Kherson to get to the right bank of the Dnipro River.

The bridge in the area of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant and Daryivka bridge across the Inhulets River in the Kherson Region were also damaged.

The invaders used crossings to cross the Dnipro River and the Inhulets River.
