Wreckage of another Russian helicopter was pulled out from the bottom of the Kyiv Reservoir. The helicopter was shot down at the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The Kyiv Region Police reported about this.
The bodies of the Russian invaders operating the helicopter were also pulled out of the water.
The enemy helicopter was shot down in the Kyiv Region by the Ukrainian Defense Forces at the beginning of a full-scale Russian invasion in late February.
“This enemy helicopter, or rather what is left of it after the excellent work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was just pulled from the Kyiv Reservoir.
According to preliminary data, the Russian “bird” was downed on the first day of the war. The two invaders will definitely not return home,” Kyiv Region Police Chief Andriy Nebytov said on his Facebook page.
Nebytov added that the Kyiv Region Police is currently inspecting the scene and the wreckage of the aircraft.
Judging by the appearance of the wreckage, this time the Kyiv Sea catch turned out to be the Mi-35M with tail number 29 “blue”.
Another downed enemy helicopter was pulled from the bottom of the Kyiv Reservoir in early May. Most likely, it was the hull of the Russian Mi-35M attack helicopter discovered near the city of Vyshgorod.
Ukrainians have shot down several Russian helicopters over the Kyiv Sea in the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion. Several such moments were even caught on video.
On March 1, 2022, the Ukrainian military struck the enemy unit with the Stinger MANPADS.
Mi-35M is a Russian transport and combat helicopter developed by the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant. It is intended for the destruction of armored vehicles, fire support of ground forces, landing operations, evacuation of the wounded, and transportation of cargo. It is produced both for export and for the needs of the Russian Defense Ministry.
