The construction of a new multi-kilometer defense line has been fully completed in the Pokrovsk sector.
The company Avtomahistral-Pivden reported that the new defense line runs for 30 kilometers.
“The unique feature of the fortifications is full protection from FPV drones along the entire defense line,” the company said.
“All passages between firing positions are blocked from above – these are securely fortified and camouflaged tunnels.
Many kilometers of such protected tunnels connect firing positions, unified fortifications, and command and observation posts.
The work was hampered by rainy weather and regular air attacks.
Russian drones were constantly hunting for construction equipment and people.
“Several of our workers are injured, two are dead,” Avtomahistral-Pivden representatives reported.
Prior to the attack, Avtomahistral-Pivden had invested its own funds in producing metal and concrete structures that would be used to build the defense line.
“If our company had not taken the initiative, it would have been physically impossible to complete the construction in such a short time,” the company says.
Since the beginning of January 2025, Russian troops have been trying to advance daily near Pokrovsk. According to Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Serhiy Tsehotskyi, the Russians are deploying troops from other areas, and they are shelling Ukrainian positions and civilians with anti-aircraft guns, artillery, and drones every day.
In early February, units of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skala” drove the invaders out of the village of Kotlyne, located 10 kilometers from the city of Pokrovsk.
