After a drone attack in the Bryansk region of Russia, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the town of Klintsy.
The governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, officially announced it.
Footage of a massive fire accompanied by smoke is released online and is visible at a big distance from the oil depot.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the drone was allegedly downed in the Bryansk region early in the morning of January 19.
At the same time, the governor of the region stated that there was an alleged attempt to attack the facility in the city of Klintsy.
Bohomaz claims that the drone was eliminated by means of electronic warfare, but it managed to “drop a munition on the territory of the oil depot.”
According to him, the tanks caught fire, but there were no casualties. As usual, Ukraine was accused of the attack by an unknown drone.
“An unmanned aerial vehicle was suppressed by electronic warfare systems of the Russian Defense Ministry. When the unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed, a munition was dropped on the territory of the Klintsy oil depot,” the governor wrote on Telegram.
It is worth noting that this is probably not a munitions drop, but a direct hit of the drone into a tank with oil products.
It is stated that the drone attack took place after 6 a.m. local time.
After an explosion, a massive fire broke out, footage of which eyewitnesses released on social networks. Fire and rescue crews are working at the scene, with 13 fire trucks involved. A fire train has also arrived to help extinguish the fire.
Later, LIGA.net‘s source in the special services said that it was the result of a successful operation by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine to launch strikes on military facilities of invaders.
