The F-22 Raptor has the third destroyed air target to its credit. This time, an unidentified object discovered in the sky over Canada was destroyed.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the object’s elimination.

“I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. The North American Aerospace Defense Command shot down the object over the Yukon. Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object,” Justin Trudeau wrote.

He also informed that the Canadian Forces will analyze the object’s wreckage.

US fighter jets from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, tracked the object as it crossed Canadian airspace. Canadian CF-18 and CP-140 aircraft also joined the mission.

“An F-22 fighter jet fired an AIM 9X missile that brought a target over Canadian territory down, following close coordination between US and Canadian authorities,” Department of Defense Press Secretary Pat Ryder said.

US President Joe Biden has authorized the US military to work with Canada to strike down an unknown object. Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau agreed to these actions.

In addition, the US Air Force also sent fighter jets over Montana to investigate a radar anomaly that caused a brief flight restriction airspace.

“These aircraft did not identify any object to correlate the radar hits,” the North American Aerospace Defense Command stated.

As previously reported, on February 10, the US military shot down an unknown aerial object over Alaska by order of the President of the United States.

Currently, the characteristics and possible targets that could be pursued by the aerial object on American territory are being investigated.

On February 4, an American F-22 destroyed a Chinese balloon that had been in US airspace for several days.

The balloon was shot down after leaving a populated area. Currently, the wreckage of the object is being studied in the USA.
