An ammunition depot exploded in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.
The territory includes the area across Nikopol on the other bank of the Dnipro river. Yevhen Yevtushenko, the head of Nikopol District Military Administration, reported the explosion. He released a photo featuring the detonation.
“On the opposite bank, the Russians demonstrated a ‘gesture of good will’ and left the chat,” he wrote.
On the morning of July 29, another shelling of the Nikopol district was recorded. It was informed by the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentin Reznichenko.
“The Russian army fired at Nikopol with Grad multiple rocket launchers. Deliberately shooting at a residential area. More than 40 rockets were directed there. 6 residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged,” he wrote.
He also added that the power line was damaged during the shelling. Because of this, several thousand people living in the private sector were left without electricity. No casualties were reported.
Local media report that the city is being shelled from the territory of Vodyanyi, Kamianka-Dniprovska and Enerhodar settlements.
Last week, the Defense Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense demonstrated the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized equipment and attacked the enemy tent camp in Enerhodar town, near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, by kamikaze drones.
