Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has deployed almost 40 samples of artillery weapons to the Defense Forces.
These are, in particular, rocket systems, howitzers and mortars, the press service of the defense ministry reports.
Since the beginning of 2024, more than 10 artillery systems have already been deployed.
The Ministry of Defense noted that in general, among the samples that had been codified and deployed in units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, there were many samples of foreign production.
In particular, they are M142 HIMARS, M270 MLRS, RM-70 VAMPIRE, MARS II rocket artillery.
As well as self-propelled artillery systems on wheel and track chassis: CAESAR, KRAB, PzH2000, M109. M777 and L119 towed howitzers, etc.
In addition, the defense ministry codified and deployed about one and a half dozen mortars of different calibers.
“Almost half of them are this year. These are samples coming from foreign partners as military-technical assistance, and the products of domestic gunsmiths,” the Ministry of Defense said.
Codification and admission of a sample of weapons and military equipment of Ukrainian production to operation allows the purchase of everything at the expense of the state budget.
Also, since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, the Ministry of Defense has deployed more than a hundred new samples of ammunition of various types to be used in the Defense Forces. The vast majority of them are products of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
Almost half of them have been deployed in the Ukrainian army since the beginning of 2024.
In particular, these are ammunition for small arms, close combat equipment, mortar rounds, artillery shells of various calibers and purposes. In addition, the defense ministry codified and deployed about 60 samples of domestic ammunition for UAV of various types, as well as fuses for them.
