Ukrainian defense forces are deterring Russian invaders on a land area with a total length of 3,390 kilometers, with the active front line being 850 kilometers.

Brigadier General Oleksii Hromov, deputy chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said about this, according to Ukrinform news agency.

“The enemy continues to offer resistance, moving reserves and conducting mobilization. Today, Ukraine continues to deter the enemy on a land area with a total length of 3,390 kilometers, and an active front line with the aggressor is 850 kilometers,” Hromov said.

According to the assessment of the General Staff, the enemy’s main aim is to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk region, as well as to hold Kherson, part of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions.

“Another stage of active operations of the military units of the Ukrainian Ground and Airborne Assault Forces is underway with the support of the Air Force aviation in cooperation with units of other branches of the military, as well as units of the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and other defense forces in the Slobozhanske operational area,” Oleksiy Hromov said.

Belarus

Oleksiy Hromov also emphasized that there are no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups in the Volyn, Zhytomyr and Kyiv directions, but “certain” activity is being recorded on the territory of Belarus.

In particular, an old airfield is being restored at the Luninets airport, 50 km from the border with the Rivne regio. The restoration included old premises and infrastructure rebuilt. On the territory of the Zyabrovka airfield, 25 km from the border with the Zhytomyr region, the deployment of the S-400 division and a number of radars are recorded. Elements of the “Iskander” missile division are being spoted in the area of the settlement of Osipovichi, 180 km from Zhytomyr region.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces also noted that preparations of the Belarusian railway for the transportation of troops are underway.

“According to available information, the training of employees of the private military company “Guard Service” continues under the management of the PMC Wagner. It is noteworthy that this organization appeared before the elections in Belarus in 2020, respectively before mass protests. Lukashenka’s decree allowed the company’s employees to use firearms. “Guard Service” is related to the administration of the president’s affairs, although it is registered to other officials. “Its functions are similar to those of the PMC Wagner – the protection of objects and cargo in third world countries,” Oleksiy Hromov said.

At the same time, he stressed that since the beginning of mobilization in the Russian Federation, more than 3,300 male citizens of the Russian Federation have arrived on the territory of Belarus.

As previously reported, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that Belarus is preparing to receive 20 thousand mobilized servicemen from Russia. Existing military objects along with civilian premises and buildings are planned to be used to accommodate the military personnel from Russia.
