The AHILLES Battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade and the 1st Bureviy Presidential Operational Brigade have stopped the Russian assault in the Kharkiv region.

This was reported on the official Telegram page of Yurii Fedorenko, commander of the AHILLES Battalion.

The assault was fought off near the village of Kruhliakivka, where the enemy attempted to break through the positions of Ukrainian defenders, taking advantage of poor visibility due to morning fog.

Thanks to the prompt actions of aerial reconnaissance, the enemy was timely detected and attacked by FPV drones of the AHILLES Battalion.

As a result of disorganized actions by the Russian assault unit, the defenders managed to destroy 2 MT-LBs and 1 infantry fighting vehicle and inflicted losses in personnel, including five killed and one wounded.

It should be noted that in recent months, Russian troops have been exerting significant pressure on the defense of the Defense Forces in the Kharkiv region, where they have been conducting active assault operations and trying to force the Oskil River.

According to the DeepState project, on December 1, 2024, the enemy crossed the Oskil River in another place south of the village of Masiutivka.

In the future, these footholds may allow the enemy to develop an offensive, expand the wedge towards Kupiansk, and cover it from the north.

Despite this, the Defense Forces are strengthening their defense in this area, inflicting even more significant losses on Russian invaders.

Militarnyi previously reported that in the Kharkiv region, the Defense Forces inflicted losses on Russian troops who tried to advance near Synkivka.

In this direction, the Russian command is trying to move closer to the city of Kupyansk.

MT-LB armored personnel carriers are used to transport the assault troops. During these assaults, the invaders came under fire from Ukrainian artillery and drones and hit mines. At the same time, the Russian infantry is trying to use winter camouflage to disguise itself, even though there is no snow in the area of Synkivka.

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces recently drove out the remnants of the Russians from Kupiansk, who had made an unexpected breakthrough into the city.

The elimination of the enemy infantry took place through close cooperation between external reconnaissance drone pilots, assault infantry groups, and tanks.
