A Russian soldier in civilian clothes tried to pretend he was a resident of liberated Kherson.
However, SSU officers detected and detained the invader.
This was reported in the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.
They note that after a conversation with SSU officers, the man admitted that he was a Russian soldier from the 69th Covering Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
He did not hide, but remained in the city to collect information, adjust fire and commit sabotage.
They emphasize that the Russian soldier was discovered due to successive stabilization measures carried out by the SSU officers and the National Police of Ukraine.
“Currently, this Russian is waiting for long conversations with the investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine, who are documenting all the crimes of the invaders,” the SSU added.
As previously reported, on November 14, the State Flag was officially raised in Kherson. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the ceremony.
The day before, the SSU reported on a special operation during which a Russian militant was discovered and detained in the temporarily occupied territory of southern Ukraine.
The man turned out to be a resident of Donetsk region. In 2014, he joined illegal armed groups and fought against the Ukrainian army.
