The Russian invaders abandoned a rare BTR-90 Rostock wheeled armored personnel carrier into the battles around Avdiivka.

One such abandoned APC was spotted among armored vehicles in a defeated column of Russians.

The video with the destroyed and damaged equipment of the invaders was published by the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named Marko Bezruchko.

An abandoned Russian BTR-90 was spotted in the area of the village of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.

Also, judging by the footage, next to the armored personnel carrier there is a seriously damaged АМN-590951 armored vehicle.

It is worth noting that Russians left their armored personnel carrier in the temporarily occupied territory, so they have access to it. And in case of damage, they can evacuate the APC for repair and return to service.

BTR-90 became the first armored personnel carrier of Russian development after the collapse of the USSR. The vehicle of OJSC Gorky Automobile Plant development was first shown in 1994. Serial production at that time was planned to be deployed by 2011 at the facilities of OJSC Arzamas Machine Manufacturing Plant.

However, in 2011, the Russian Ministry of Defense refused to purchase BTR-90 in connection with the revision of the concept of weapons of the Ground Forces and the beginning of the development of a conceptually new wheeled armored personnel carrier.

The Rostock, which is produced in very limited numbers, is armed with a 2А42 30mm automatic gun, an AGS-17 30mm automatic grenade launcher, a PKT 7.62mm machine gun and 4 Konkurs ATGM missiles.

The bottom of the combat vehicle is V-shaped that increases mine protection. The armor, compared to the Soviet BTR-80, was significantly strengthened.

The total weight of the vehicle is 22 tons. The squad compartment accommodates 7 soldiers and the crew of 3 people. The range of the BTR-90 is 800 kilometers, the engine with a capacity of 510 horsepower provides a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour by road and 12 kilometers per hour when forcing water obstacles.
