In the Bryansk region of Russia, a section of the railway track located 20 kilometers away from the border with Belarus was blown up.
The Russian propaganda media reported this.
Alexander Bogomaz, Governor of the Russian region, claimed that on the evening of October 24, an “unknown explosive device” went off on the track between the settlements of Novozybkiv and Zlinka.
As a result, railway tracks were damaged.
According to the governor, no casualties were reported as a result of the explosion. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
The Belarusian monitoring group Belarusian Gayun released photos capturing a damaged rail and several crossties.
It was noted there that the explosion happened on the interstate junction section of the railway between the Russian Zlynka station and the Belarusian Zakopytye. The movement of trains was disrupted by it.
This section of the railway is actively used for military transfers between the Russian Federation and Belarus. Due to the explosion, the echelons will not be able to get to Belarus through one of the railway branches, Belarusian Gayun emphasized.
As previously reported, on October 14, the movement of trains was suspended in the Belgorod region of Russia due to allegedly shot-down missiles that damaged the railway.
At that time, it was reported that the missile fragments fell in the Novooskol district of the region in the area of the railway track.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of the region, claimed that several missiles were allegedly shot down by air defense systems in the Novy Oskol area.
Released photos showed that the railway track and power line pillars were seriously damaged.
