In the morning, in the Samara region of Russia, unknown persons blew up the railway bridge pier.

Train traffic is currently paralyzed, according to Russian media and Telegram channels.

Photos from the scene were published in social networks and local media.

According to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Russians used this bridge to transport military cargo.

Russian media reports that a powerful explosion on March 4 at about 6:15 a.m. local time damaged the railroad bridge over the Chapayevka River on the Zvezda-Chapayevsk stretch.

The bridge’s metal structures and fencing were damaged, but the concrete bridge pier was allegedly unharmed.

Train traffic on the bridge has been suspended. Emergency services and sappers are working at the site.

One of the Russian Telegram channels, citing its own sources, wrote that the cause was an improvised explosive device.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine confirmed the damage to the bridge in the Russian Federation and said that this railroad line was used to transport military cargo, including engineering ammunition produced at the Polymer plant in Chapayevsk, Samara region.

As previously reported, on the night of February 9, the Ilsky oil refinery in the Seversky district of Krasnodar Krai was attacked. Before that, eyewitnesses heard sounds similar to a drone flyby in the sky.

According to local residents, the drone hit the territory of the Ilsky oil refinery at about 2 a.m. local time.

There was an explosion at the scene and a fire occurred at the enterprise.
