More than a quarter of Russia’s battalion tactical groups have been rendered “combat ineffective” in Ukraine.
This is evidenced by the daily report of British intelligence.
At the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian invaders deployed over 120 battalion tactical groups in Ukraine. This accounts for approximately 65 percent of Russia’s entire ground combat strength.
British military intelligence has estimated that over a quarter of these units have now been rendered combat ineffective.
It is also noted that some of Russia’s most elite units, including the VDV Airborne Forces, have suffered the highest level of attrition.
It will take years for Russian Federation to reconstitute these forces.
Previously, Ukrainian paratroopers neutralized a group of special forces from Siberia.
Ukrainian paratroopers published confirmation of the liquidation of the occupiers.
The paratroopers published a video featuring the remains of armored vehicles and personnel of the 24th Special Brigade of the Main Directorate (formerly known as the Main Intelligence Directorate) of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
It is also reported that General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian military, made a visit to front-line positions in the Izyum area in the Kharkiv region. According to U.S. officials, even with dramatically scaled-down objectives, the Russian military continues to struggle with logistical problems and coordination among its troops.
