A new HIMERA G1 Pro radio, developed and manufactured in Ukraine, has been presented.
This is stated in Himera’s official press release.
The HIMERA G1 Pro’s features include pseudo-tuning of the operating frequency and encryption according to the AES-256 standard.
The HIMERA G1 Pro allows voice and digital data transmission, has an easy-to-configure Mobile Ad-hoc Network, extended communication range and a new user-friendly design.
“We are pleased to present our new product: the HIMERA G1 Pro digital portable radio. This radio is not just an improved version of its predecessor, HIMERA G1. The Pro version is the result of our team’s many months of hard work, which developed the new device and improved its craftsmanship,” its developers wrote about the new product.
In addition to a simple interface, the radio is integrated with Android mobile devices, which makes it user-friendly and greatly simplifies setup.
That is, HIMERA can be configured via Bluetooth through a smartphone without learning specialized programs.
In general, the new version has corrected the shortcomings of its predecessor based on user feedback.
“We have carefully collected feedback from users and learned from our own mistakes, corrected all the shortcomings with maximum attention to the smallest details, conducted testing, and are confident that HIMERA G1 Pro will set a new level of performance and design for radios designed specifically for electronic warfare,” the developers added.
Here’s what the Da Vinci Wolves battalion’s communications officers have to say about the new version of the radio:
“The infantry received low visibility in the air and a secure communication channel with the simplicity and affordability of this solution. We have been waiting for these radios, interacted with the Himera team and can finally test them in combat conditions. Modern technical solutions give soldiers an advantage on the battlefield. We are satisfied,” “Matahari,” commander of the Da Vinci Wolves’ communications unit, shared.
It is also stated that the radio stations create a MANET-like network between them, which supports data delivery even in the absence of a direct connection. At the same time, all stations in the network work with frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) and encryption, just like in the direct mode.
