The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the all-Ukrainian RECOVERY project have signed a memorandum on the development of a modern rehabilitation center for the military.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced this.
The joint project will reconstruct the largest rehabilitation center for military personnel in one of Ukraine’s regions.
“Today, another step has been taken to establish a modern system of rehabilitation for servicemen. I hope that cooperation with charitable foundations will be expanded and as many men and women as possible will return to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or home healthy,” Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Natalia Kalmykova shared.
It is reported that the rehabilitation center will be able to provide assistance to more than 100 soldiers at a time.
“The new center will be built according to international standards of inclusiveness and technology. In terms of the number of beds, it will have no analogs,” Svitlana Hrytsenko, RECOVERY project manager and member of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s board, noted.
The location of the future center is not disclosed for security reasons.
RECOVERY is a project of Victor and Olena Pinchuk aimed at rehabilitation, prosthetics, and treatment of those seriously injured during the war.
The project focuses on the following:
The project plans to establish 10 RECOVERY centers on the basis of state medical institutions in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, and Cherkasy regions.
The centers will be equipped with modern physiotherapy devices and special equipment for physical rehabilitation. At the moment, work is underway on the design of the reconstruction, repair of the premises, and the purchase of the most modern equipment for the rehabilitation centers.
