A fire occurred at Serbia’s largest firearms manufacturing facility.

It is reported that a fire broke out in one of the workshops of the Zastava arms company in the Serbian city of Kragujevac on the evening of November 30.
The fire destroyed approximately 400 square meters of the roof and the basement floor of the factory’s industrial building.
Local media reported that the fire at the weapons factory was first reported at 9:20 p.m., was contained fifty minutes later, and was completely extinguished around 11:30 p.m. Zoran Kochovych, Head of the Emergency Service, shared this information with the journalists.
12 firefighters with 7 special vehicles were involved in extinguishing the fire.
It is also emphasized that the quick and effective intervention of firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings of the arms factory in the city of Kragujevac in Serbia.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
Zastava oružje, better known as Zastava Arms, is the largest and most famous Serbian firearm manufacturer. The company is based in Kragujevac. It was founded in 1853.
Zastava Arms has a wide range of products, which are being delivered to over forty countries around the world. These include pistols, rifles, submachine guns, machine guns, and grenade launchers.
As previously reported, on the morning of August 15 in Serbia, an explosion occurred at the factory of the state company Krušik in Valjevo. This enterprise is also producing ammunition.
Back then, the journalists learned that a K34 cartridge exploded in the hands of the enterprise’s employee. The woman suffered injuries to both hands and eyes and got facial burns. Another employee who was in the room was released home after an examination at the hospital.
