Russia alleges that a Ukrainian drone has crashed in the Moscow region.
The invaders claim that 17 kg of explosives were found inside the drone that fell to the ground.
Russian Telegram channels report on the discovery of the drone, supporting it with the photos of the site of the fall.
It is reported that the UAV that had fallen to the ground was found in a forest near the city of Noginsk.
It was discovered by a local resident on the afternoon of April 23. She informed the police. The drone was found 300 meters from her house.
They claim that it was a Ukrainian drone that was supposed to target an object on the territory of Russia.
Russian media claim that the found 3.5-meter-long unmanned aerial vehicle is allegedly similar to the Ukrainian UJ-22 Airborne UAV.
According to them, around 30 briquettes weighing 570 g with an explosive substance inside were found inside the drone. The drone that had crashed near Noginsk in the Moscow suburbs was allegedly equipped with C-4 plastic explosive. Russian bomb technicians had to work at the place where the drone crashed for about 5 hours.
The media of the aggressor country suggest that this UAV may have fallen due to running out of fuel for the engine.
The UJ-22 Airborne drone was presented at the Arms and Security 2021 international arms exhibition in Kyiv. The arsenal of this unmanned aerial vehicle includes unguided aerial bombs that can be used to destroy enemy manpower and armored vehicles. Besides, the unmanned aerial vehicle can carry a camera or an optical-electronic station.
According to the developers, the maximum take-off weight of the UJ-22 Airborne is 85 kilograms, of which 20 kg is the payload. The declared maximum flight time is 14 hours at a speed of up to 200 km/h.
The previous report about the fall of the allegedly Ukrainian UJ-22 Airborne drone in the Moscow region appeared at the end of February 2023.
