In the Chernihiv region, another bridge transferred by French partners was launched.

This was announced by Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration.

A 42-meter long structure was installed in the area of the village of Staryi Bilous.

This is the second of the three bridges received from France that are installed on local roads.

The first bridge was installed near the village of Novyi Bilous on January 26.

“The bridge is metal. The road surface is made of wooden flooring,” said Vyacheslav Chaus.

The design can withstand cars weighing up to 18 tons.

This is a temporary measure, it will serve as a crossing until the construction of a new capital bridge is completed.

In total, the French partners have supplied Chernihiv with 6 prefabricated structures, the installation of three of them is supervised by the Department of Capital Construction of RMA.

It should be recalled that since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, temporary bridges have been sent to Ukraine by the Czech Republic, France, Norway.

Some of the structures have already been installed and are functioning in the de-occupied territories of the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions.

In general, from February 24 to the present, 80 temporary crossings have been arranged in Ukraine and this process continues: three more structures are being prepared now.
