93rd Mechanized Brigade Liberated Hruzke and Vesele Villages After a Russian Breakthrough

The units of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade ‘Kholodnyi Yar’ recaptured the villages of Hruzke and Vesele from the Russians after their breakthrough.

This was reported by the brigade’s official page on X.

The fighting took place near Dobropillia, where the Kholodnyi Yar Brigade conducted a sweep and took control of the settlements.

During the operation, intelligence units, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery were actively involved, which allowed them to effectively destroy the enemy.

According to the military, the battles also involved the use of ground-based robotic strike systems and robots with machine gun turrets, which were used to storm the occupiers’ fortified positions.

As a reminder, the Russian breakthrough took place on August 8th, 2025. Within five days, the enemy advanced along a narrow section of the front to a depth of about 15 km.

From Kucherevyi Yar, the Russians penetrated Vesele, where they began to amass infantry – up to two dozen occupants were recorded there in just one day.

At the same time, the enemy tried to develop an offensive in the sector of the Dobropillia-Kramatorsk highway, reaching the areas of Novovodiane and Petrivka.

After the situation stabilized, the Ukrainian Defense Forces deployed reserves, which allowed them to cut the breakthrough ‘corridor’ and stop the enemy’s advance.

The 1st Azov Corps of the National Guard, along with its attached units, not only held off the attack but also cut off some of the Russian assault groups, encircling them.

Earlier, the soldiers of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade captured four Russians from the 132nd Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade (military unit 52892).

The prisoners, aged 20 to 28, confirmed their affiliation with the unit during interrogation.
