The Come Back Alive Foundation transferred a batch of Fort-600 grenade launchers to the 82nd Air Assault Brigade’s soldiers.
The Foundation reported that the batch consists of 40 single-shot hand grenade launchers.
“They are perfect for assault operations when you need to knock the invaders out of trenches and dugouts,” the donors shared.
The Fort-600 hand-held single-shot grenade launchers are also good for defense when it is necessary to stop the advance of enemy infantry.
The cost of this batch is UAH 1,399,440 (approximately UAH 35 thousand per grenade launcher).
Ukrnafta also helped to raise funds for the hand grenade launchers by making a contribution.
The Fort-600 single-shot hand-held grenade launcher is designed to fire 40-mm high-explosive, HE-Frag, HEAT, or other combat grenades.
The weapon is used to destroy enemy manpower and equipment.
The Fort-600 can also fire non-lethal grenades, such as gas, stun grenades, etc.
The firing pin of this model has a built-in damper, which allows for a twofold reduction in recoil.
Prior to the Russian full-scale invasion, the grenade launcher was one of the weapons that the State Scientific and Production Association “Fort” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine could produce.
In April, it was reported that the Come Back Alive Foundation had delivered 884 Fort-600 single-shot hand grenade launchers to the Ukrainian military. The cost of all these hand grenade launchers was almost UAH 31 million.
