Ukrainian paratroopers defeated a Russian armored group near the village of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
The 79th Separate Tavrian Air Assault Brigade reported that in recent days, the Russian invaders have tried to break through the defense in the Kurakhiv sector again.
The Russian command sent tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to break through the Ukrainian defense.
The Russian BMP-3 was equipped with an additional 688M-SB3KDZ shielded protection.
The 675-SB3KDZ polymer panels set is designed to protect against fire from large-caliber machine guns and anti-tank grenade launchers.
Outdated Soviet-era T-62MV tanks were supposed to pave the way for the assault groups.
Ukrainian reconnaissance drones monitored the movements of the Russian teams and adjusted the Ukrainian forces fire.
Artillery, minefields, and attack drones were used to destroy the Russian invaders.
Attack drones, presumably Switchblade drones, were also used.
“They wanted 200,000 roubles and a three-room apartment in Kyiv, but got two meters of land in the fields near Novomykhailivka,” the Ukrainian paratroopers said.
There are constant Russian attacks in this Kurakhiv sector. In May, the Russians lost up to 11 units of equipment in one attempted assault near Novomykhailivka.
Novomykhailivka, located near the village of Kostiantynivka, now resembles Mariinka. The Ukrainian military defended Mariinka for over a year, and it was almost completely wiped out by the Russian army.
