The units of the 77th Airmobile Brigade and the Achilles unit of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade repulsed the Russian assault on the eastern bank of the Oskil River.

A video of the repulsed attack was posted by the brigade’s press service on its official Telegram page.

The enemy forces attempted to conduct a massive assault on the positions of Ukrainian defenders using heavy equipment in the Borivske direction.

Aerial reconnaissance timely detected the enemy moving in a large column, so the units had time to prepare for defense and launch FPV drones.

The Russian convoy, which was standing still at the time of the FPV drone attack, came under attack from drones that destroyed a significant portion of the armored vehicles, including a tank with anti-drone protection involved in the assault.

An armored personnel carrier was also hit, which exploded with such force that it damaged a nearby APC.

During the active defense, the enemy lost more than 5 units of military equipment and an unknown number of personnel.

On the eastern bank of the Oskil River, the enemy is trying to organize assault attempts to force the river and gain a foothold on the other bank.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade “Edelweiss” had revealed new details of the operation to eliminate the Russian bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskil River in the Kharkiv region.

After Russian units crossed the river by boat in late November and landed near the village of Novomlynsk, gaining a foothold there, the Ukrainian 8th Battalion of the 10th Brigade began planning an operation to drive the occupiers to the opposite bank.

The operation was carried out by the battalion’s 1st and 2nd companies, as well as the attached forces of the 3rd Tank Brigade.

The assault on the Russian positions began in the morning with the movement of a column of vehicles with troops on M113s and BMP-1s of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, led by a T-72AMT tank crew from the 2nd Tank Battalion of the 3rd Tank Brigade.
