The 47th Mechanized Brigade fought off a mechanized assault by the invaders near Ocheretyne, during which a Bradley IFV shot at point blank range a Russian armored personnel carrier carrying infantry.
The 47th Brigade’s press service released the footage of the battle.
A combat vehicle of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 47th “Magura” Mechanized Brigade, namely Kurt’s crew, shot a Russian armored vehicle with an automatic cannon in close contact.
The incident took place near the village of Soloviove, where the invaders tried to storm Ukrainian positions and used seven armored vehicles, namely 2 tanks and 5 MT-LBs.
The unit’s artillery and armored personnel carrier stopped the attack, after which kamikaze drone operators destroyed the damaged armored vehicles and finished off the remaining assault groups hiding in buildings and basements.
In particular, the reconnaissance drone caught the moment when a Russian T-72B3 tank equipped with anti-drone nets and an electronic warfare system was destroyed by an FPV drone.
The situation in the area of Ocheretyne remains difficult. Over the two weeks of the offensive in this area, the invaders managed to significantly build on their success and expand their flanks.
Currently, the enemy is trying to advance, concentrating its attacks in the direction of the Kostiantynivka road.
In addition, he is trying to push Ukrainian forces from the left flank of the occupied settlement of Ocheretyne.
It was recently reported that the Ukrainian Air Force carried out airstrikes on the deployment sites of Russian invaders in the Donetsk region, in particular, in the village of Ocheretyne.
The Ukrainian military did not specify what kind of aircraft bombs hit the invaders. However, it can be assumed that it could have been American JDAMs or French AASM 250 HAMMERs.
A day prior, the Defense Forces of Ukraine restored positions east of the village of Yampolivka in the Donetsk region.
