Units of the 43rd Brigade captured Russian soldiers who tried to raise a Russian flag in the settlement of Kivsharivka, Kharkiv region, for propaganda purposes.
According to the brigade’s press service, the flag was intended for Russian media and war correspondents, accompanied by claims that the settlement had been captured.
During the failed operation, Ukrainian forces neutralized four Russian soldiers and captured six others.
The enemy has repeatedly staged similar propaganda actions, placing Russian flags on buildings and other high points as ‘proof’ of taking control, but these claims often do not match reality.
For example, the enemy currently has no photo or video evidence of their troops’ presence in the settlement, and all statements, including those from the Russian Ministry of Defence, are presented in text form. Meanwhile, neither the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine nor the analytical portal DeepState have recorded any Russian advances in that area.
Militarnyi previously reported that at the beginning of March, fighters from the Ukrainian National Guard’s Spartan Brigade in the Pokrovsk sector captured four Russian invaders, including former prisoners. The detainees explained that they went to war for money or to gain release from prison, carrying out basic orders from their command to ‘reach the point.’
