41 Russian Soldiers Lost in Two-Hour Breakthrough Attempt Near Novopavlivka

During the night, Russian forces launched a two-hour assault toward Novopavlivka, using quad bikes.

The attack was carried out by small, mobile groups, according to the press service of the 42nd Mechanized Brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Valerii Hudzii, speaking to Militarnyi.

The enemy attempted a rapid breakthrough to the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions, relying on the mobility of light motorized vehicles.

The assault groups were detected while still approaching Ukrainian positions through drone surveillance by brigade units.

Drone operators from the 42nd Mechanized Brigade and neighboring units then engaged the enemy.

Drone footage from the 42nd Mechanized Brigade shows continuous strikes being carried out both while enemy groups were on the move and directly in their concentration areas.

As a result, the enemy’s assault was completely repelled.

Russian units failed to achieve any tactical gains, the 42nd Mechanized Brigade noted.

According to the released footage, the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ “harvest” amounts to more than 40 fallen invaders over the two hours of the so-called assault on Ukrainian positions.

The video also shows destroyed and abandoned quad bikes that were used during the attack. The final number of Russian losses during this operation is still being clarified.

“However, the conclusions are obvious – the two-hour breakthrough attempt ended with significant losses in manpower and equipment for the enemy,” the command of the 42nd Mechanized Brigade emphasized.

Previously, during the repulse of an assault near Novopavlivka, the 42nd Brigade also managed to take prisoners.
