Soldiers of the 23rd Rifle Infantry Battalion, as part of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade, conducted a combined attack using ground drones and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Journalist Yurii Butusov released the relevant video.
The video shows FPV drone operators attacking infantry and forcing them to take cover in a trench.
After the Russians lost control of the situation, their positions were attacked by kamikaze ground drones.
Simultaneously with ground drones, Russian infantry continued to be attacked by FPV drones.
Militarnyi reported on April 22, 2024, that the soldiers of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade showed the combat use of a kamikaze ground drone.
The video featured Russians moving around in the trenches between the dugouts.
At this point, a Ukrainian wheeled drone approached the Russian positions, stopped over an infantry shelter, and exploded.
Russian troops, as well as Ukrainians, are using ground-based kamikaze drones, and the Ukrainian servicemen have to counter them.
On April 24, it was reported that FPV drone pilots of the Trophy Hunters team of the 148th Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces destroyed a Russian ground-based unmanned mining system.
The footage shows a wheeled unmanned mining system carrying four TM-62 anti-tank mines. An accurate hit destroyed the system.
In addition to specialized platforms, Russians also use combined ones.
For example, at the end of March 2024, it was reported that FPV drone pilots of the 47th Mechanized Brigade destroyed two Russian unmanned combat ground vehicles that carried eight anti-tank mines in addition to AGS-17 grenade launchers.
