Ukraine’s Contract 18-24 recruitment military service program will soon expand to include additional units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, announced this news.
Several brigades of the National Guard will also join the initiative, Palisa added.
The following units are set to participate in the program:
“The 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade and the 13th Khartiya Operational Forces Brigade will soon join the program,” Pavlo Palisa added.
Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers approved the Contract 18-24 initiative on February 11, 2025. The program offers military service for Ukrainians aged 18 to 24, with an annual total income potential of up to UAH 2 million.
According to Pavlo Palisa, initially, six brigades participated in the pilot phase—four ground brigades, one airborne assault brigade, and one marine brigade.
The number of participating units is expected to grow after the trial period.
Recruits undergo three months of basic and professional military training.
They also receive social benefits, including rent and housing compensation during service, medical care, access to a 0% mortgage under the eOselya program, tuition-free university education, and permission to travel abroad after completing their contracts.
The program guarantees a 12-month exemption from mobilization upon contract completion.
Applications are available on the program’s website or through the “Reserve+” app. The enlistment process includes a recruiter consultation, contract signing, and training in combat units.
