Two groups of military helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived in Belarus from Russia.
The Belarusian Hayun monitoring group said that the helicopters had landed at the Machulishchy military air base in the Minsk region.
The arrival of the helicopters is likely to be connected with participation in the parade to be held in Minsk on July 3.
One group consisted of five Ka-52 attack helicopters, which were actively involved in the war against Ukraine.
The second group consisted of five Mi-28 attack helicopters, which Russia has also been using in the war since 2022.
The group was accompanied by a single Mi-26 multi-purpose transport helicopter, which was likely carrying cargo and equipment for Russian pilots.
Also, on June 19, 16 aircraft of the 116th Guards Assault Air Base of the Belarusian Air Force arrived at the Machulishchy military air base to take part in the parade.
According to analysts of the Belarusian Hayun monitoring group, a total of 18 Russian aircraft are currently on the territory of Belarus.
The current state of the Russian Aerospace Forces aviation group in Belarus is as follows:
In Belarus, Russian Su-30SM fighter aircraft and Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft are being deployed to fulfill the tasks of the “Joint Regional Air Defense System.”
In February 2022, Belarus became a springboard for the invasion of Ukraine, and Russian military aircraft took off from Belarusian airfields and struck Ukrainian territory.
As previously reported, the militaries of Russia and Belarus are conducting a new stage of tactical nuclear forces exercises.
