Soldiers from the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade successfully destroyed a Russian Msta-S artillery system.

A video of the destruction was published by the brigade’s press service.

The video shows how the unit’s aerial reconnaissance detected and identified the Russian self-propelled gun.

It should be noted that the enemy had done a good job of camouflaging the artillery system and had chosen a suitable location for its deployment.

Due to the swift actions of Ukrainian defenders, an FPV drone was quickly launched and struck the Russian artillery system in the frontal area.

After the hit, gunpowder began burning inside the combat compartment of the self-propelled artillery system, leading to a powerful detonation.

This detonation suggests that the artillery system was fully loaded with ammunition, which was destroyed by the Ukrainian military.

Notably, despite the installation of additional protection against discharges and FPV drones, the Russian Msta-S was successfully destroyed.

It should also be noted that the enemy has recently begun to suffer losses in self-propelled artillery, as the number of FPV drones in the Defense Forces has increased significantly.

Previously, Militarnyi reported that the Ukrainian military and the invaders released videos and photos of at least 9 Russian army units destroyed by these systems in May-April.

It is worth noting that this number includes only artillery systems that were captured on video or photos in the public domain.

The main means of destruction were FPV strike drones that carry a powerful explosive charge.
