Ukrainian forces blew up a Russian warehouse with about 1,000 Shahed drones on the territory of Donetsk airport.
The Special Operations Forces reported that on November 5, the warehouse was hit by attack drones.
The warehouse contained Shaheds along with equipment for their assembly and launch.
“The enemy’s military infrastructure was located on the territory of the former international airport,” the Special Operations Forces said.
According to the Ukrainian military, more than 90% of the drones launched by the Special Operations Forces reached their target. The powerful explosion and subsequent detonation were captured on video by numerous eyewitnesses.
The operation was a joint operation involving Special Operations Forces, Unmanned Systems Forces, and missile and artillery forces.
The analysts of the Dossier of the Spy group discovered that both cruise missiles and attack drones were used during the attack.
As a result of the attack
At the time of the strike, there were up to 1,000 Geranium-2 (Shahed) drones and more than 1,500 combat units on the airfield.
The development of this complex target turned into a several-month painstaking reconnaissance operation, assembled from small puzzles. In particular, the intelligence of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade, the Birds of Magyar, participated in the operation.
The infrastructure arrangement for the operation of Shahed and Gerbera drones in the vicinity of Donetsk airport was uncovered in August.
At that time, the construction of closed storage areas and manual control points was recorded.
