Our Mission

Our mission is to provide informational and public support to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.

We are committed to objectively informing the public about Ukraine's resistance to military aggression by the Russian Federation, as well as developments and reforms within the security forces and defense-industrial sector.

We collect and analyze information regarding specific and systemic issues in the defense sphere, identify solutions, and facilitate public discussions on these topics.

We promote ideas and solutions that contribute to enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities.

Story

Chronology of Militarnyi development

October 2008

The "Militarnyi" community originated as a thematic group on social media on October 14, 2008, following the introduction of its founders, Oleksandr Arhat and Taras Chmut.

February 2009

On February 20, 2009, the first publication was released on the "Ukrainian Military Portal" website. "Militarnyi" featured thematic news and articles, while the team produced video content dedicated to security forces. The "Militarnyi" community grew through an active thematic forum.

May 2014

After the start of Russia's invasion of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, "Militarnyi" transformed into the volunteer team "Military Aid." This shift led to significant growth in the community.

February 2017

In 2017, the nonprofit organization "Ukrainian Military Center" was established, serving as the legal entity of "Militarnyi."

June 2018

Taras Chmut and Oleksandr Arhat have produced several television projects, including "4-5-0" on Espreso TV and "Line of Defense" on Channel 5.

November 2019

Since 2019, "Militarnyi" has been developing its own video content, including the launch of the "Militarnyi Podcast."

October 2021

In 2021, the team launched the English version of the portal.

Now

Following the full-scale invasion, “Militarnyi” focused on providing high-quality information to both Ukrainian and global audiences about the course of hostilities, Ukraine’s security needs and capabilities, and military assistance from the Free World.
