Following the presentation at Defense Tech Valley 2025, Ukrainian defense company Vyriy continues to develop its Dzhankoi ground drone.
In today’s post on social media, they provided more details about the new development.
Among the main differences from other ground-based robotic complexes on a tracked drive is the 360 mm clearance.
The tracked chassis is of their own design with self-cleaning.
In addition to a maximum load of up to 500 kg, it is also claimed to be capable of towing up to 2.5 tons, which is relevant for trailers or light wheeled vehicles that have broken down.
The developers specify that the maximum speed of the Dzhankoi UGV is 15 km/hour, and its range is 42 km. After that, the batteries can be replaced in 10 minutes and it is ready to work again.
The drone communicates via the main satellite channel through Starlink, but it is not limited to that and has a backup cellular (LTE) and wireless (ELRS) connection.
During an interview with Militarnyi, Vyriy CEO Oleksiy Babenko said that developers are exploring the possibility of installing a combat turret. The platform is large enough to mount weapons.
Vyriy is presented in Defense Tech as a manufacturer of various types of products, the main one being aerial drones. These are FPV quadcopter and aircraft types: the strike drone Blyskavka and the mothership drone Veresen. There is also the inexpensive Sokil drone for frontline reconnaissance. As for FPV quadcopter-type drones, there are radio-controlled and fiber-optic models.
The company also has its own cruise control for drones, which increases the percentage of successfully completed tasks even in the event of a short-term loss of control, as well as POPCORN initiation board.
