The Ukrainian company Skyassist has shown a wide-angle drone control antenna TEYA 5.8 of its own production at the exhibition.

This was reported by Militarnyi reporters from the IRON Lviv Tech Cluster exhibition.

TEYA 5.8 operates in the frequency range from 5290 to 5960 MHz. Its main advantage is wide-angle coverage, which allows for drone control without the need to reconfigure the antenna.

“Once I set it up, I forgot about pointing until the end of the task. Two weeks ago, we worked in the Vovchansk area, where we did not leave a safe place to adjust the antenna for an hour and a half. This antenna is people’s lives,” the company representatives said.

They noted that today the sky in the frontline area was full of enemy drones. Moving and working near the antenna can disguise their position and put them in danger.

The developers said that the antenna’s horizontal beamwidth was 40 degrees and the vertical beamwidth was 7 degrees.

Skyassist is already using its product as part of its own Sirko family of unmanned reconnaissance systems and also supplies it separately to other customers.

Localization in the unmanned systems market

Earlier, Militarnyi told about another Ukrainian company, VYRIY Drone, which had already localized the production of 70% of FPV copter strike drones.

Manufacturers have set up production of the frame, onboard antennas, and most of the electronics: flight controllers, speed controllers, control and initiation boards, and fuses.

In addition, the drones are equipped with foreign-made cameras, motors, and analog video transmitters.

In the future, VYRIY plans to increase the localization rate to 80% by equipping its drones with Ukrainian digital video transmitters and electric motors.

Militarnyi also reported that Ukraine had launched the production of CRPA satellite navigation antennas for drones that were resistant to enemy electronic warfare systems.
