Poland’s military reports a violation of its airspace during a Russian drone strike on Ukraine on the morning of August 26.

According to them, an unknown object flew into the territory of Poland at 6:43 a.m. local time near the Ukrainian city of Chervonohrad.

The Polish Armed Forces Operational Command stated that it had not been a missile.

General Maciej Klisz said that it had probably been a drone, which continued being searched for on Polish territory.

“The characteristics show that the object is not a missile, it is neither hypersonic, nor ballistic, nor guided. It is probably an unmanned aerial vehicle type object, which, in accordance with the procedures adopted in the country, we classify as an unidentified aerial object,” the general told reporters during a press conference.

According to him, at least three radars detected the aircraft.

Polish media outlet Defence24 reports, citing its own sources, that it was a Russian Shahed/Geran attack drone.

It is believed that the drone could have crashed near the town of Tyszowce, which is located about 25 kilometers from the Polish border with Ukraine.

Currently, the search for an unidentified aerial object, involving the Ground Forces and helicopters, is concentrated in this area.

Also, the Polish military command does not rule out the possibility that the object could have left the territory of Poland.

On the morning of Monday, August 26, Ukrainian cities came under massive rocket and drone fire from Russia.

In particular, the regions bordering Poland were hit.
