A car of the chief of staff of a military unit exploded on the territory of the military town of Millerovo in the Rostov region.

The Investigative Committee of Russia said that it had opened a criminal case on the attempted murder of Vadim Sobiesky.

Vadim Sobiesky was driving his Volvo when the car suddenly started making strange noises.

The soldier was not injured – he managed to get out of the car after it began to “hiss and smoke”.

Later, the information about the incident was confirmed by the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The agency clarified that investigators were establishing the circumstances of the car fire.

A criminal case was opened under the article on attempted murder.

Russian officer Vadim Sobiesky is included in the Ukrainian database Myrotvorets.

“He is involved in the genocide of the Ukrainian people by conducting hostilities against the civilian population, civilians and infrastructure,” Myrotvorets reports.

Sobiesky was born in Kryvyi Rih, received Russian citizenship in 2011, and is a member of the leadership of the 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment, which is taking part in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

This is not the first such incident this year; in April, a car carrying a traitor who had fled to Russia exploded in Moscow.

The owner of the car was former SSU lieutenant colonel Vasyl Prozorov, who had been working for Russia since April 2014.
