U.S. President Joe Biden signed an aid package for Ukraine worth $60.8 billion.
This became known during the U.S. President’s address to the media.
The bill was signed into law by the President after it was passed by the U.S. Congress and Senate.
It should be noted that the biggest part of the financial package will be used to transfer weapons from the U.S. depots, namely $23.2 billion.
Another $11.3 billion will be allocated to the U.S. European Command, which is designed to finance training of the Ukrainian military, intelligence sharing, and general support for Ukraine by the U.S. European contingent.
About $13.8 billion will be allocated for the production of weapons at defense companies under the USAI and will be transferred to Ukraine when they are ready.
As part of FMF (Foreign Military Financing), the United States will allocate $1.6 billion to Ukraine, which will be used to purchase weapons and pay for related military services.
In addition to military aid, funds will also be allocated for financial assistance, as well as a humanitarian aid package.
As part of the financial assistance, Ukraine will receive $7.85 billion to close the budget deficit, and $1.6 billion will be used for economic assistance.
In addition, $1.3 billion will be allocated for humanitarian assistance, which is designed to demine territories, support refugees, etc.
It should be noted that, along with this, Joe Biden signed the relevant financial packages for Israel.
About $26.4 billion will be allocated for Israel and humanitarian aid for civilians in conflict zones.
