For the first time, the five ministries began working together on a unified systematic approach to personnel policy in the Defense Forces and veteran policy.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on this.
The union includes the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Veteran Affairs, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
During the meeting at the level of Deputy Ministers, key tasks were identified:
“Today, we have developed basic principles on which the new system should be based, and have reached agreements between state authorities,” Nataliia Kalmykova, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, stated.
According to her, the parties will soon start working with representatives of veterans’ organizations to fill the new system with specific norms.
“There should be a principle: no policy changes for veterans without veterans themselves,” Kalmykova added.
Joint work on social policy for active military personnel and veterans will continue in the near future with the participation of veterans and representatives of specialized NGOs.
Militarnyi recently reported that the Ministry of Defense has completed the first stage of the introduction of an automated defense resource management system based on System Analysis Program Development (SAP) in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The system automates delivery processes and generates information about balances in warehouses and requisitions.
It allows to see the real need, procure, and provide the troops with everything they need in a timely manner.
Automation started with the accounting of material assets, which completely updated the processes and equipment in one of the operational-level support centers that unite a large number of military units.
