Russian enterprise Uraltransmash revealed serial samples of the 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV 152mm self-propelled artillery gun.

It is reported by Militarnyi with reference to the Russian media.

Self-propelled guns were shown to the Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, who visited Uraltransmash to inspect the fulfillment of the state contract.

In fact, these are some of the first production samples of ACS. Before that, Russian troops were receiving experimental models that were upgraded at Uraltransmash facilities.

The researcher of armored vehicles, Andrii Tarasenko, reports that the capacity of the enterprise did not allow for the organization of serial production of the 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled guns. The plant was limited to the repair and modernization of the Msta-S self-propelled guns and work on experimental models of Koalitsiya.

Tarasenko recalls that the Russians previously announced the use of Koalitsiya ACS in the Russian-Ukrainian war, although there is no evidence for this.

In August, Militarnyi reported that the Russian defense industry was going to launch the Malva and Koalitsiya-SV artillery systems into production.

At the same time, it was reported that the test of the 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled gun was planned to be completed by the end of 2023.

Koalitsiya-SV

2S35 Koalitsiya-SV ACS with a 152mm caliber gun is based on the platform of the Т-90 tank. Guidance and maintenance of weapons are fully automated; the ACS crew consists of three people versus five in other self-propelled guns.

The manufacturer claims that thanks to the automatic loading, the 2S35 has a fire rate of 12 to 16 rounds per minute, and the range can reach up to 70 kilometers.

2S35 was developed by JSC CRI Central Scientific Research Institute Burevestnik, research work began in 2002.

The first prototypes began to be assembled in 2013 and were shown to the general public – in 2015. The first experimental batch went into service with the Russian Armed Forces in 2019.
