The Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the concentration of manpower and the command post of the Russian troops.

The Clash Report Telegram channel announced this.

According to Slash Report and journalist Yurii Butusov, the damage was inflicted by high-precision JDAM-ER bombs on a concentration of personnel in the Kyiv district of Donetsk city and on a command and observation post in Verkhniotoretsk.

It is stated that the command and observation post belonged to the 288th Separate Sapper Battalion of the invaders.

Based on local landmarks, it was possible to determine the location of the command and observation post.

“After such an explosion, it is unlikely that anyone could have survived,” Yurii Butusov wrote on his Telegram channel.

After the attack on the place where enemy personnel were concentrated, a video appeared from an eyewitness who said that soldiers of the invasion forces remained under the rubble.

The half-ruined building, which served as a reference point, made it possible to determine the place of the impact.

JDAM

Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) is a set of special equipment for unguided bombs that turns them into “smart”, guided munitions.

The kit consists of a controllable wing, an inertial navigation system, and a GPS receiver.

The flight range of the bomb from the drop point is 28 kilometers, and the possible circular deviation is 11 meters.

The JDAM-ER bombs that Ukraine has are capable of hitting targets at a distance of 72.4 kilometers.

The JDAM kit is used to upgrade bombs with a caliber from 230 (GBU-38) to 910 (GBU-31) kilograms.

The navigation system is initialized by transmission from the aircraft, whose systems provide position and velocity vectors.

After detaching from the carrier aircraft, the JDAM autonomously follows the target coordinates.

Coordinates may be loaded into the aircraft prior to takeoff, changed by the crew during flight prior to launch, or entered via data feed from onboard targeting equipment.

Bomb flight paths can be programmed so that the target can be hit at the desired angle.
