On the morning and night of February 26, several explosions were heard near the Machulishchy air base.

It is noted that local residents heard two explosions near the air base in the morning. There is also information about an explosion heard at night.
The BYPOL community reports that it has information about damage to a Russian transport aircraft and snow removal equipment.
Also, according to local residents, a large number of military and traffic police crews were spotted on site. They are checking all the cars passing by.
No official information is currently available about explosions near the air base, which is located 12 kilometers away from Minsk.
The Machulishchy air base is used by the Russian Air Force. From this airfield, the Russian А-50U airborne early warning and control aircraft and MiG-31K fighter jets are regularly taking off.
As previously reported, on January 19, an “explosion” was heard by the local residents living near the military airfield during the flight of the Russian MiG-31К fighter jet near Minsk.
A MiG-31К with the tail number RF-95194 caught fire on one of its two engines. The fire was accompanied by an explosion-like sound – it was the sound of the engine pumping after the fire.
Militarnyi also reported that on December 25, the engine of a MiG-31K fighter jet caught fire while attempting to take off from the Machulishchy airfield.
According to Belarusian analysts, the aircraft was seriously damaged, and it will be under repair for a long time.
