In temporarily occupied Kherson, the Russians have announced the beginning of the formation of “territorial defense”.

This was reported by the Russian occupation administration.

The invaders call on the men who remain in the city to join the detachments of the so-called “territorial defense force”.

“For all men who want to stay in Kherson… an opportunity has been created to join the “territorial defense” units of the city,” the message of the Russian occupation administration of the captured territories of the region says.

The report notes that it refers to the men who stay in the city voluntarily, others “can leave for the left bank of the Dnieper at any time.”

The Russian occupation administration previously called on residents of Kherson city and the right-bank districts of the region to move to the left bank, and, if possible, to the occupied Crimea and Russian regions.

All so-called “ministries” and “departments” are also moving to the left bank.

At the same time, on October 19, the occupation authorities closed the right-bank part of the city of Kherson for a period of 7 days. People are intimidated by an attack on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric station.

The city has actively begun distributing leaflets with instructions for evacuation, and local residents have also received relevant phone calls and messages.

Simultaneously with the statements of the occupation authorities regarding the evacuation, Russian General Sergey Surovikin, who commands the invasion of Ukraine, also commented on the situation in Kherson.

Surovikin spoke on Russian television and announced the upcoming Ukrainian large-scale offensive.

He also announced his intentions to relocate Ukrainians to Russia under the governmental program of the Russian Federation.
