Russian troops have completely left two settlements in the Kherson region.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported about this.
The enemy completely left the settlements of Charivne and Chkalove, both officers and medical personnel were evacuated from Beryslav.
“The invaders are seizing cars from the local population and trying to leave the city with the help of a ferry crossing in the area of the Antonivsky Bridge,” the General Staff said.
The settlements of Charivne and Chkalove are located in the Beryslav district of the Kherson region.
Ukrainian villages were occupied by Russian troops in February this year after the start of a full-scale invasion.
On October 18, the commander of the Russian troops, Sergey Surovikin, commenting on the situation in the Kherson region, stated that it was likely necessary to make “challenging decisions.” However, the Russian general did not specify what decisions were in question.
On October 21, the Operational Command “South” reported that in the Kherson region, as of October 21, the Defense Forces of Ukraine had already liberated 88 settlements from the Russian invaders.
About 12 thousand people live in the settlements liberated from invaders.
A set of stabilization measures was carried out in de-occupied villages.
The following villages returned to the control of the Ukraine: Lyubimovka, Khreschenivka, Zolota Balka, Biliaivka, Ukrainka, Velyka and Mala Oleksandrivka and Davydiv Brid.
Besides, Ukrainian defenders have liberated the settlements of Novovasylivka, Novohryhorivka, Nova Kamenka, Trifonivka and Chervone.
