The Ukrainian army currently uses mortar bombs from Denmark.
Analysts from Ukraine Weapons Tracker released a video featuring military personnel showcasing these mines.
The video features BGR M/50 120mm bombs manufactured in 1984.
Although originally used with vintage Brandt M/50 mortars, they can be successfully fired from any 120mm platform.
It is worth noting that Danish mines have a special tube-shaped protective packaging, which is marked with the royal coat of arms of Denmark.
Former Danish military officer Torben Nielsen said that Denmark still uses this ammunition and has also used it as well in Afghanistan.
“The only problem we had was that in extreme heat the bee wax, that seals the fuze melted, so keep them chilled,” Danish veteran said.
As previously reported, on August 11, during the Conference of Northern European Allies in Support of Ukraine, it became known that Denmark had stated €110 million in additional allocations for Ukraine’s military support.
In total, the Copenhagen Conference raised €1.5 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
Denmark emphasizes that international partners should continue and increase their support of Ukraine in various areas: with weapons, financially, during demining or training of Ukrainian servicemen.
M113 armored personnel carriers transferred by Denmark as military assistance are already in service with Ukraine.
Denmark will also join the training of the Ukrainian servicemen in Great Britain.
