The Ukrainian military neutralized the latest Russian ZALA 421-16E2 reconnaissance drone.

The unmanned vehicle was taken down by the 93rd Separated Kholodnyi Yar Mechanized Brigade.

“The Zala UAV is invulnerable to Ukrainian EWs. They do not see him. Gazeta.ru wrote this referencing some Russian general. Well, the infantry of the 93rd Brigade from Izuim doesn’t give a f@ck. They are not EW, they are infantry. And they shot down another “unique” crap,” wrote volunteer Roman Donik, who released the UAV photos.

The ZALA 421-16Е2 drone is considered one of the latest modifications, which embodies the most promising Russian technical solutions from the ZALA 421-16Е and ZALA 421-16EM UAVs.

This tactical UAV is optimal for aerial reconnaissance.

It has increased flight duration, ability to launch from unprepared sites, a wide range of payload, and optimized power consumption.

The drone is designed to conduct reconnaissance at any time of the day at a distance of up to 35 km with real-time video transmission.

In Ukraine, the Russian military uses different types of drones from ZALA AERO GROUP.

Zala is not one, but a whole family of unmanned aerial vehicles. Zala 421-04, Zala 421-08, and 421-16 micro air vehicles are capable of operating within a radius of 15 to 40 km, being in the air for up to 2.5 hours, and the weight of their payload is 1.5 kg.

Zala 421-20 drones are larger. Their range is up to 120 km, flight time – 11 hours, weight of the payload – up to 50 kg. They can combine various systems on board, including air navigation, automatic data decryption, and laser guidance.
