On Monday, May 2, the United Kingdom announced that it would be providing Ukraine with an additional GBP 300 million ($375 million) worth of military aid.

The new package of military assistance would include the supply of electronic warfare and counter-battery radar systems for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The office of Prime Minister Boris Johnson mentioned that, among other things, the United Kingdom will be offering Ukraine night vision devices, means of jamming the satellite navigation, heavy drones, and armored vehicles for civilians.

It was reported that more than ten specialized Toyota Land Cruisers were shipped to Ukraine to protect civilians in the East of the country and evacuate people from the frontline areas.

Earlier, London has already provided aid worth GBP 200 million. In particular, over 5,000 anti-tank missiles, five air defense systems, and other munitions and explosives were shipped to Ukraine.

In the coming weeks, Britain would be handing over the Brimstone missiles to Ukraine.

The UK is examining the platforms on which the Brimstone missiles could be mounted so that they can be used effectively by the Ukrainian servicemen.

Brimstone is a surface-to-surface or air-to-surface missile. It is equipped with a new radar homing head, which is capable of capturing objects. In the new version, the range of the missile from the aircraft is 60 km. When launching a missile from the ground, the range decreases to 10 to 12 km.
