The Namejs 2022 training will last until May 27 in all the regions of Latvia. Up to 3,000 servicemen will participate in it.

The overall goal of the Namejs 2022 spring exercise is to improve the integration of national and allied forces for defense tasks, writes delfi.lv.

Artillery and mechanized units, as well as aviation and paratroopers, will participate in the training. The operational planning, supply, and provision units will also be coordinated.

The military units from the USA, Czech Republic, Poland, Great Britain, Lithuania, and Estonia will be coming in for participation in the first stage of Namejs 2022 training.

The training missions will be conducted jointly by the Allied soldiers currently deployed to the NATO Enlarged Battle Group in Latvia on a rotating basis. These are the representatives of ten countries – Albania, the Czech Republic, Italy, Iceland, Montenegro, Canada, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.

The deployment of the Allied troops has already begun.

The military and equipment will be moving throughout the country during the entire training period.

It is also reported that artillery firings will be happening at the Adazhsky training ground.

Information on where and what exactly will be happening will be reported by the local authorities, therefore the local residents are asked to be understanding of the training.

It was previously reported that the United States is currently conducting trainings in which the servicemen are studying the experience of Ukrainian defenders in the confrontation with Russia.
