Border guards have taken positions at the state border in the Chernihiv region

Unit “Siversk” of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is now protecting the national border.

Border guards are now protecting the state border of Dniprovske, Hirsk, and Nedanchyny.

Serhiy Deineko, Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, noted that the invasion of the Chernihiv region began from the area of patrolling of the Dniprovske Border Guard Unit.

In addition, the Ukrainian flag has already been raised over the building of the border guard division in Chernihiv.

“Enemy shelling has severely damaged its infrastructure. But this is nothing compared to our desire for Freedom and Peace. We will restore everything, as well as restore control over the sections of the state border together with the Fighters belonging to the Defense Forces of the country,” said Serhiy Deineko.

Previously, the road connection had been restored between Kyiv and Chernihiv. This would mean that the much-needed cargo will now be delivered to the Regional center and its surrounding communities.

The military together with the local authorities is also developing new corridors to decrease the load on the existing roads.
