Prosecutors, investigators, and forensic experts are on constant duty at the forensic bureau conducting DNA examinations, autopsies, and sampling.

The bodies of 410 civilians killed by the russian invaders have already been moved from the liberated territories.

Militarnyi reports about this with reference to Iryna Venediktova, Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

The Office of the Attorney General, the military command, and the military law enforcement service are recording crimes committed by the russian military.

“Evidence of brutal war crimes of the russian federation found in the liberated territories of the Kyiv region is crucial. This is hell that needs to be documented to punish the non-humans who unleashed it on our soil. I would like to emphasize that these crimes will be prosecuted in the national and international courts,” said Iryna Venediktova.

Crimes against 140 people have already been documented between April 1st and 3rd. Law enforcement offices have increased the number of employees in the Bucha district. Similar work is being done in all liberated settlements of the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions.

“At the same time, we are working with the local residents, looking for witnesses and victims, collecting photo and video evidence. This is delicate and painstaking work: people are scared, tired, and went through torture, they have experienced unspeakable horror. We need time and a professional approach to record everything properly and not lose any chances to find and punish the perpetrators,” Venediktova said.

Before prosecutors and investigators began their work at the crime scenes, forensic experts, explosives technicians, cynologists, and forensic experts inspected the area.

A lot of unexploded ammunition was left behind in the occupied territories. The russian invaders have also left behind many landmines, including the mines being found on the bodies of the murdered civilians.

The area remains dangerous.

Previously, the murdered civilians were uncovered in the city of Bucha, some of whom had their hands tied behind their backs.
